The board of directors at Occidental Petroleum Corp. (OXY) promoted Vicki A. Hollub to senior executive vice president of Occidental and president of Oxy Oil and Gas, the company said May 5. Her appointment is part of the CEO succession plan, the company said.
As president of Oxy Oil and Gas, she will handle global operations. She has been executive vice president of that division since 2014, and she will eventually succeed Stephen I. Chazen as CEO after a transition period, Occidental added.
Hollub has nearly 35 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry. Previously at Occidental, she was executive vice president for California operations and president and general manager for Permian Basin operations. She began her career in 1981 with Cities Service, which Occidental acquired in 1982.
Hollub has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama.
