Strategic Oil and Gas Ltd. drilled an exploratory vertical well and made a light oil discovery in Steen River, Alberta.
The discovery well was tested over a four day period and flowed on average 733 barrels of 36° API oil per day (b/d).
The company expects to bring the well on production at an oil rate of approximately 300-500 b/d.
This well is scheduled to be on production in early April 2012.
